Remove existing drain plug and washer and clean sealing surface. Position washer onto valve and thread onto port by hand-tightening at first. Do not force valve into oil pan. Use 24MM socket or wrench to tighten. Tighten to snug fit. Refill engine with oil and run engine for 1 minute. Check for any leaks.
Each 3-Step Oil Change
Step 1: Prepare. For faster drain times, run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature then shut off. Remove oil fill cap under the hood and set aside.
- Step 2: Drain. Remove the dust cap. Connect drainer by threading it onto the valve. After a full rotation, oil will start draining. Continue threading drainer all the way.
- Step 3: Finish. Replace dust cap by hand-tightening. Store drain tube assembly until next time and service oil per manufacturer's recommendation. Run engine for 1 minute and check for any leaks.
