This is just the right size to fit between the ramps when working under my vehicles. It provides enough coverage area for the oil catch basin and enough room to lay down on and keep off the concrete floor. I recently got to try this thing out first hand and it is folded up and does take a while to get the creases out, but it does eventually lay fairly flat. It has a rubberized backing to it, so while I was scooching under the car it didn't move with me. The oil catch basin easily slid across the carpeted side though, which was nice. I try to be as neat and clean as possible when draining the oil, but there is always some rogue splashes that seem to get on the floor. That happened this time as well and the spill mat absorbed them right up. Once I was done it was super easy to fold back up for storage.We also had a bunch of folks over for Easter and it was raining outside. We don't have a lot of shoe mats in the house, so I brought this out and laid it on the floor. It was big enough for all the dirty/wet shoes and did a great job of absorbing/catching all the dirt and water. I was able to fold it in half and shake off the crud into the trash can. I haven't had to wash it yet, but it seems fairly easy to do. I think I'm going to get another one of these for camping. I'd recommend!
